Develop Your Creative Side
Script Writing - 90-Minute Drop-In Saturday Afternoon Classes
Spring into the season creating scripts. In this drop-in class, we'll explore where you are whether it's creating a new script or polishing something you already have or just creating a solid logline. We'll look at your character's objectives and obstacles to develop plot points. We can help you create a monologue, short two person scenes and work your way up to a short screenplay. We'll then do a table read as part of our bi-monthly table read series. The class is $15, and the sessions go for 90 minutes on Saturday afternoons at 4:00 pm EST/3:00 pm CST. Click here to register.
Free Monday Night Table Reads
We'll practice cold reads with original scripts as well as those early drafts of well-known TV or movie screenplays. It's a great chance to delve into a full script and look at how character and plot development moves the story along. Past scripts have included the pilots of Abbott Elementary, BoJack Horseman, Only Murders in the Building and award-winning original scripts by our screenwriters including Sophia's Carol, The Lioness Kills Tonight, To Kill Fire and Acid World. We'll also highlight scripts by our screen writers in a script writing workshop. Sessions are free bi-monthly on Monday nights - 7:30 pm EST/6:30 pm CST via Zoom. Click here to register.
