Script Writing - Six Week Course on Saturday Afternoons starting January 21st.
Kick off the New Year by creating scripts. In this six-week course, we'll explore how to write a short five to ten-page screenplay using script analysis, plot points, and creating intriguing characters. We'll start with how to create an intriguing character, a logline, a monologue, short two person scenes and work our way up to a short screenplay. We'll then do a table read as part of our Scene Study Class. The class is $90 for the six weeks and the sessions go for 90 minutes on Saturday afternoons. Click here to register.
Wednesday Night Acting, and Scene Study
We'll practice thinking on your feet with improv, voice exercises, movement, character development, and cold reads. Learn how to analyze a script and how to create a character based on objectives and obstacles as well as the beats within a scene. Delving into the character's history even if you don't have those clues within the script, developing what happened before and after the scene is crucial to creating a believable character. We'll use scripts from Weekly Audition as well as scenes from plays and movies. Feel free to bring a piece you want to work on. Classes are once a week and are $20 per class for two-hours on Wednesday nights - 7:00 pm EST/6:00 pm CST via Zoom. Only 12 slots per class. Click here to register.
